iPhone 5 and Lightning

Apple announced the iPhone 5 in September -- followed by the iPad 4th gen and iPad mini.   These new iOS devices use a new connector named Lightning.

Apple also announced two adapters that can be used to connect accessories with 30-pin connectors to the iPhone 5.

We've tested our cables with Apple's 30-pin to Lightning adapters and found that they work fine.   (Make sure to use Apple branded Lightning adapters!  Users have reported problems with 30-pin to Lightning adapters made by other brands.)

We also will be adding cables with Lightning connectors to our product line -- most likely in Q2 2013.  (As with our other iOS cables, it takes time to move new products through Apple's MFI approval processes.)
